Why its important to understand "Ohm" before you connect speakers to your amp ?
1) Ohm mismatch can damage your spaeker or amp , depending on the mismatch .
2) Ohm mismatch will produce weak output and sometimes will end up giving you a poor tone .
Understanding OHM
Remember these rules and that's all there is to learn towards connecting speakers and amp properly .
1) When speakers are connected parallel , Ohm value decreases by half .
2) When speakers are connected in series , ohm value multiplies by two .
Calculation
1) Find out the OHM value of the speaker . Mostly it will printed next to the input socket . else you can check out the product mannual .
2) Find out the minumun OHM value your amp can drive . You can find this printed near the amp output , else you can cheack the product mannual .
3) Now using the OHM rules , wire your speakers to match your amp specification .
